Our sending church, Faithway Baptist, came to visit us for a week at the end of August. It was such a blessing to have them in Peru with us. They brought us so many things from the States for our family, ministry, and for others. It was a joy to introduce them to the ones we have been ministering to here in Huancayo. The pictures below capture a few of the activities and people from their visit.

Josh Estell can now say that he has slammed a basketball in Peru. Although they found it a bit harder to breathe in the higher altitude when they began playing the Peruvians in some basketball games.
Much was accomplished during the church work day from cleaning walls, floors, chairs, and tables to installing electricity and painting where needed.
The park activity provided some great fellowship and opportunity to bring new families together.

I told them that the train only came through twice a month but that didn't stop them from trying to hitch a ride.
We couldn't let them leave without trying pachamaca (cooked with hot rocks in the ground).

Getting everyone in the van (combi) with there luggage will be a memory for awhile. The other memory of us jump starting a van by pushing it down the road.
