Having fun at home during the lockdown

One of the blessings of the lockdown with someone who collects table games and hosts camps is that there's no reason to be bored. It was a blessing in disguise to spend time as a family. The girls were finishing school from March until May but we enjoyed our free times together.

It's hard for me to admit that Nisha and the girls did win in some of the games but the time together was a win for me every time.

The lockdown also provided time for us to do major cleaning and organizing as well.
Skype and Zoom calls became very frequent with our boys in university in the States and with other family and friends.

Providing Food for those in Need

The Covid lockdown caused many families to have needs spiritually, physically, mentally, etc...
As a church we looked to help meet the needs of those that God has called us to reach. With the help of our supporters and our own church we were able to provide food for many families. It became a routine for us to prepare food bags for those with needs.

With transportation being shut down it was amazing to see how God provided a different person to transport the food each week to our church.

Last Sunday service before Covid Lockdown

As we prepared for the evening service on March 15 little did we know that it would be the last time we would be able to legally meet all together. The Peruvian government made the announcement of a complete country lock down due to Covid that evening.

Week before Covid Shut downs

We had just returned to the jungle after summer camps on the coast in March of 2020. We scheduled a Kids club special event on the Thursday resulting in our highest attendance of 103. It was exciting to see so many kids coming to the church along with some of their parents.

Returning to our blog after Covid lockdowns

We apologize for not blogging since March of 2020 due to the strict lockdowns in the country of PerĂº. We continued to serve God throughout the Covid pandemic but did not want to post things publicly on the internet due to safety. We instead sent out more prayer letters to our supporting churches and friends to keep them informed. We look forward to posting what God has been doing throughout the pandemic in the following posts. Thank you to those who have been praying for us and for once again checking our blog. May God bless you!
