Pucallpa missions trip

eIn December, Jon took a missions trip with Cesar from Canada and Manuel his brother from Brazil to visit the indigenous villages near Pucallpa. We had the opportunity to preach, perform weddings, and share Christmas gifts with many.
Nine couples from this village got married on this day.

The outhouse in the jungle village was a bit different to get used to.

It was a blessing to give out balls for gifts to the children and gift bags of food and items to the adults.
Traveling by boat in the rain down the river to reach the villages.

Anybody hungry? As we stopped at a street vendor cooking up some grub.
A missionary in Pucallpa raising turkey's, ducks, and paiche the big fish in the pond.

At the port in the morning where bananas were being brought into town to sell.

Traveling by a pecky-pecky boat down the river to visit villages.

 Villagers waiting for our arrival.

The ladies prepare a meal for the village in the church kitchen.
What a blessing to have a water pump in this village for fresh water.

Jon thought it was funny to see a hut in the village with a bed rather than the typical hammocks.

The church must use a generator for electricity and must be far enough away to not allow the sound to be a distraction.

We served hot chocolate and panaton in each church or village that we visited.

What a blessing to fellowship with Pastor Henry and his son while in Pucallpa.

The children were patiently waiting for their gifts and for the program to start.
