Sorry for the delay with posts as I've been on a ministry trip for almost a month and am trying to get caught back up with e-mails, phone, and other administrative things. Pictured below are some memories of our Christmas celebrations in 2013. It was filled with cookie hand-outs accompanied with Christmas caroling.

Shopping and gift wrapping.
Decorating our house with Christmas lights and our favorite tree known as the "Michigan Tree".
We have nine chickens; one rooster, five hens (for eggs), and three for butchering. We called the three for butchering: Dad's last day, Christmas, and New Year. We are killing "Christmas" for a good dinner.
We had Raul, one of our young adult men, over for Christmas since he was away from family this year. He enjoyed helping kill the chicken, cook it on the grill, and eat it.
In Peru, there was no sign of a white Christmas but rather a sunny day for a water fight.
At night, many Peruvians enjoy the firework displays as our children participated in the festivities.
