Traveling by speed boat from Iquitos to Caballo Cocha down the mighty Amazon river was exciting. We noticed many villages along the way as well as barges carrying many different items such as a catepillar.
About a third of the way down the river our boat engine caught on fire and filled the back compartment with black smoke. One lady jumped up and immediately put on her life jacket while others just sat wondering what would happen next. We drifted down the river for an hour while the workers restored the engine before continuing the trip.while drifting...

The Amazon River looked more like a lake at times.
Each stop consisted of picking up or dropping off passengers as well as venders boarding the ship to sell snacks.

We safely made it to Caballo Cocha where we hosted a Pastor's Conference at the campground for a week.
We were invited to Pastor Fransisco's house for fish.

This pastor gave a challenge of how not to get discouraged because of your size or differences. God uses small things to do big jobs.

One of the crazy things we did during free time in the afternoon was to jump off an eighteen foot bridge into the river. It was scary at first but later became a favorite pastime.
