Family Vacation (part 2) Cusco

While in Cusco, we explored some ruins and even had a guide help explain some of the significances of the Peruvian heritage.

Our children liked the fact of being able to run around and walk on the places that they normally do their re-enactments of Inca festivities (usually seen on TV).

Can you imagine moving this big rock into place?

Our van parked next to the statue of Jesus Christ which overlooks the city of Cusco.
We especially like the ruins that you can slide down and explore.

Cave exploring turns into cave darkness and watch your head adventures.
Jon sits on the rock throne where once sat previous Inca leaders.

We were able to visit the Llama farm where we all got up close and personal.

Feeding and learning about the Llamas and alpacas here in Peru. Matthew was being chased by some who wanted the food that he had in his hands.

They explained how they made each color for their textile clothes and blankets.

Peru has over 300 types of potatoes as many types were on display.
A miniture model of Machu Picchu.
Our children were able to drink their first Mt Dew. Nathan and Becca enjoyed it, while Matthew and Katie said that it was too strong for their liking. The after affects was what to be expected.
