Serving God in Huancayo

After visiting different places in the jungle five hours away, we returned to Huancayo where we have been establishing a church for the last two and half years. 

 It has been a blessing to build relationships and visit with the church families.

 The teenagers come over to our house for activities and good Christian fellowship.

The most expensive coffee in the world

Café Misha is made in the jungle of Peru and is known as being one of the most expensive coffees in the world. We had the opportunity to visit the factory and see the "Misha's" (animals that process the bean). 

 It's a good thing Nisha and I do not drink coffee and were not tempted to purchase any especially after learning how the bean is eaten and processed through an animal.

Visiting Villa Rica and the Island Park

Villa Rica is a jungle town known for making coffee. We were able to see demonstrations and talk with the people that live there.

We were able to spend some time as a family at the Island park. It offered many exciting adventures for our children to enjoy.

 Ray (Jon's Dad) was even daring enough to zip-line across a pond.

Motorcycles carrying four people or more at times in the jungle towns.

 We drove past a home-made oven to bake their food.

Visiting Pampa Michi

The Jungle area of Pampa Michi is a place you can visit the historical indigenous tribe customs by dressing up in their native clothes, putting on paint and head dress, and listening to stories. 

 Of course they would like for you to buy their homemade items.

 It was interesting to see some of their animal: snakes, macaws, and more.

Just outside of Pampa Michi was a butterfly garden and zoo for us to spend some relaxing time with the Mendoza Family.
