Special treats from Lima and the States

We received word that we would need to renew our girls residential visas for Peru personally in Lima. This recquired a special trip to the capital eleven hours away. Of course we would take advantage of this opportunity to purchase items that are not available in the jungle as well as visit restaurants and places in the city.

We were also able to receive a suitcase filled with items from one of our supporting churches from the States who had someone coming to Lima for business and brought it to us. We returned back home to Oxapampa to praise God for His Goodness with the many special gifts.

The children's club was to follow our trip but again was a highlight to see those that we get to serve in the ministry.

Iglesia Bautista Horeb visits us in Oxapampa

It was a blessing and encouragement to have the group from our church in Los Olivos on the coast of Peru to travel 11 hours to come and visit us in Oxapampa. They were able to take in the sights as well as assist us in evangelism.

We were able for the first time to offer a teen activity with the group being here. There is currently only one teen attending the church on a regular basis but we would like to see the ministry to grow. It was thrilling to see over 40 teens show up for the activity and to have the chance to share the Gospel with them.

The group practiced special music and organized plans for the church. We enjoyed the fellowship together with games and stories.

Weekly Church Services

Being faithful to our weekly church services every Sunday and Thursday. We praise God who is faithful to us. The children provide so much energy to the children's programs. It's exciting to see their spiritual growth.

We've now divided into two different children's classes for the Sunday services. I'm thankful for our girls involvement in the ministry.

Visitors from Huancayo

We praise the Lord for a big enough house to be hospitable. We enjoy opening our home and spending time in fellowship with our visitors. It was a special treat to have a family (Marquina de Armero) from the church in Huancayo come to visit. We took the opportunity to show them a few of the places in the area.

Celebrating the independence of Peru in our church with the Kids.

Brandon and I were caught attempting to steal the Chontabamba mascot. Don't worry we returned it.

 We visited the sugar-cane factory.

Rancho Victoria provided many recreational activities for everyone.

The Chontabamba scenic overlook of our valley.

We were able to stop and visit the milk and cheese factories in the area as well.

Nisha prepares the meals and never disappoints.

Tiger Falls is a spectacular view of God's creation.

We enjoy talking with our boys in the States by Skype.

The family was able to meet some of the children that we minister to on a weekly basis.
