Faithway's Vacation Bible School

Faith way's Vacation Bible School was filled with fun exciting activities, challenges, and Bible Stories. It was a blessing to be able to minister and serve as a family in this week long VBS.
Our children were able to help the children in the memorization of the Bible verses.

The decorations transformed the church into an ocean of sceneries for the theme "Sea Quest".
Nathan was asked to help with the electronics throughout the week
Nisha was able to serve at the registration tables.
Ray and Judy were able to serve with crafts and little kids class.

Jon was able to do the Missionary Story each day for all the children.
Jon also assisted with the games, skits, and challenges.

Wild-n-wacky Wednesday is usually a fun day to dress and act wild.

Nisha assisted with throwing out the candy and putting up the final score for the Red Team who came from behind throughout the week and ended up winning overall.

Matthew was one of the  class leaders for the older kids. He took the week off of work to serve in VBS.

Pastor Scott Estell was the director and captain for the week.

What a blessing to hear of those who received Christ as their Savior and of other Spiritual decisions that were made during the week.
The following Sunday was a presentation to the families of those who attended the VBS. It included prizes, songs, ice-cream, VBS store, activities, and Bible preaching.

Jon was able to spend some time with his dad and brother who came that Sunday.
Our family helped with the giraffe bouncy house for the children.

What a fun outreach to the community and a joy to be involved in our home church!

Remembering Jackie Harris

Jon's Mom, Jackie Harris, was such an encouragement to us over the years. She visited us in Peru and was always make us feel important. It was good to have a place to go and pay-our-respects and share the fond memories that we have of her Godly life. We're thankful to have had her loving example and spiritual walk to remember. She is missed.

Family Day at Cedar Point

Cedar Point has always been a highlight for our family when we are in the States. I'm so glad that we could enjoy it together as a family before the boys went back to work to prepare for college. It was a beautiful weather day and not to busy. We were able to enjoy many rides and activities.

The animals reminded us of Peru and all our friends.

Matthew doesn't like rollercoasters very much but was daring enough to ride a few. Of course he enjoyed winning in the basketball shooting contests and the Snoopy attractions more.

Cedar Point had a virtual reality roller-coaster where you put on the video goggles to watch as you rode and felt the ride.

A family that plays together will have a family member that wins.
