Survival tactics without mom at home

As Nisha takes Matthew to Lima for ACT testing and paperwork, Jon and the other three children set up a survival tactic plan for meals and involvement. Each volunteered to pull their weight by cooking and cleaning. It just goes to show you just how much Nisha does and that we appreciate her even more.

We survived but like it so much better when we are all together.

Fellowship with other churches in the valley of Mantaro

We have been able to interact and minister in surrounding area churches in Peru. Jon appreciates the opportunities to preach and get involved in fellowshipping with others.

Matthew leaves for Lima

Matthew had to stay goodbye to Huancayo to travel to Lima with Nisha in order to take his SAT test and finish paperwork to return to the States for college.
Matthew is going to miss his family and friends that are left behind. Please pray for this next transition in his life.
At the bus station, we had to say our goodbyes to Nisha and Matthew for the month and wondered how we will survive under Dad's cooking.

Matthew's going away party

Matthew spent the last month mentioning how much he will miss things in Peru as everything became "my last time to do this".  From playing basketball with sisters to getting together with friends at the house and celebrating together with the church.
Matthew's going away party was held at our house with many of his friends and family. This was an opportunity for us to break out many of the activities that Matthew enjoys doing with others.
