Missions Conference (part 2)

The month of July was dedicated to emphasise missions in our church. The first week was the conference, other weeks had visiting missionaries and sermons with mission themes. It was a joy to see the church respond by participating, giving, praying, and taking on our first missionary.

Nathan and Katie enjoy studying and learning about Japan.
Matthew takes a lot of pride in living in Peru.
Reuben Quispe and Jon visit different Huancayo sights.

It was a highlight of the conference to have an international banquet.

Four groups competing to represent their chosen countries with food, decorations, and presentation (China, South Korea, Mexico, and Italy).

The twins were in the South Korean group.
The Mexico group had a lot of energy and excitement.
The China group really did a good job working together.

The South Korea Group even went to a Korean restaurant after the conference to enjoy time together.

The Italy group banned together as a family to share with us the Italian life.

Nisha had her own group to prepare salads, drinks, and desserts.
Everyone was able to enjoy the food from each country.

After the judges all cast there votes the trophy for this year went to the Mexico Group.

What a blessing to see the giving hearts of the people for missions.

There was plenty of time to enjoy the food and fellowship together.

It is more blessed to give than to receive. I wish you could have seen not only the look on the missionary's face who received many gifts (mattresses, pillows, blankets, books, etc..) but also the faces of all those who gave sacrificially in the church to make it possible.
