Thanksgiving Day 2016

We celebrated Thanksgiving 2016 in Huancayo, Peru with the Lindsey Family, and two others (another American and a Brit) living in Huancayo. It was a beautiful day to gather and play games and give thanks to God for His bountiful blessings.
Huancayo has recently opened a Makro store that sells turkeys year long. Normally the stores only make them available near Christmas. Nisha was able to cook the turkey this year. It turned out great.
Jon woke up early to lend a hand in the kitchen.

The tradition of watching the Detroit Lions play on Thanksgiving was enjoyed on the wall with a projector.
We are so thankful for those who sent Thanksgiving decorations for us.

What great fellowship "in English" with other Americans.

The games were enjoyed by all.

Blow-dart gun and darts were even fun to play.

Nisha sets the wishbone aside to dry for later.
The dogs observed the many activities like corn-hole beanbag toss.

The Thanksgiving feast was a feast with many options of which to choose.

Matthew and Jon challenged Washington to some basketball games.
Jon wins off some trick shots off walls, behind the backboard, and off the second floor from the house. I think the home-court advantage helped.

We are now looking forward to Christmas and the opportunity to share not only God's goodness but His wonderful gift of His Son with others.
