Resurrection Day celebrations

The Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is something to remember. It has given us as sinners hope to our lives. Our churches use this time to remind the people of our salvation. It also provides many opportunities to share the good news with others.
We were able to pass out tracts in public places and witness on the streets. Even though we did not get pictures of those activities, we did get pictures of some of the family activities and events held at our house.
Jon introduced egg smashing this year. Nisha disguised hard boiled eggs with regular eggs and chocolate eggs. Jon and each of the children took three turns choosing a number that corresponded with an egg and than smashed it on their forehead. Jon chose numbers that ended up being the chocolate ones while the others each had at least one regular egg, but they all smashed eggs on Jon for not getting it before. It was a fun memory together.

Egg painting is always a fun tradition.

Their Easter baskets had less candy and more needed school supplies this year.

It was a blessing to host an Easter egg hunt activity for some public school students and to share the meaning of the holiday with the families.

The town celebrates the time with their own traditions of dancing and competitions at the fair grounds.

Horses have a place in their traditions with racing and certain horse dances.
