Crosspointe Baptist Church Missions Conference

What a blessing to be a part of the missions conference at Crosspointe Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Jon's previous youth pastor (Dan Fitzgerald) is still serving God faithfully in the church with his family. Jon was able to preach Sunday morning and Tuesday evening at the conference.

The fellowship with the staff at the church and Christian academy has been great. What great hospitality and Christian spirit throughout the conference.
We were able to put many hands on items on our table display that were enjoyed throughout the conference.
The church took a day to spend time with the missionaries. The ladies were able to go to the mall for some shopping while the guys were able to get a tour of the Indianapolis Speedway.

This was the first time that Jon was able to visit the museum and the sky box of the speedway.
Jon got his picture with the Indianapolis 500 trophy and many of the cars that have all won the race at one time or another.

"Victory Podium" where the winners of the race come to receive their trophies.

What a blessing to get acquainted again with friends from college and different ministries as well as meet new people in the church.

Jon was able to be involved in the academy by teaching in the high school geography class and preach in chapel.

The school children also enjoyed seeing the many items on our table display as we shared experiences from Peru.
Thank you Pastor Arrowood and Crosspointe Baptist for allowing us to be a part of your missions conference this year.

Reporting in churches

We were able to report of God's work in Peru to Bethel Baptist in Fort Scott, Kansas. What a blessing to see what God is doing in the church and the friends to meet once again.

I love that they are able to still use the old church building and remember the history behind it. The new building built behind this is beautiful and very useful.
The children got involved in the service with singing and quoting of Bible verses.
We traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to be able to present in some new churches as well. We're praying that God will bring us more churches to partner with us in establishing churches in Peru.

The Creation Museum

For Matthew's 20th Birthday on October 5th we took him out to eat and to the Creation Museum in Kentucky. We missed Nathan being with us as he studies as a Maranatha student at Camp Cobeac.

The Creation Museum is based from the Bible and gives a clear explanation of the creation of God, the flood, and scientific proofs of the Bible. What a visual display of the marvelous works of a great God.

Many displays giving biblical testimonies of facts to be passed down to the next generations.
The display demonstrating the tomb of Jesus and how he was buried and rose from the dead.

The walk through of the seven "C's" demonstrated clearly what truly took place in history.

The dinosaur displays looked really nice and some even moved with sounds.

What a fun day with our oldest son as we celebrated his birthday. The planetarium was very educational to see the stars, the planets, and the universe all displayed in the theatre screen above you.

There were outside gardens and bridges to enjoy as well as the animal zoo with a variety of animals to feed.

What a great God to give us life and all of creation to enjoy!
