Introducing "Carpetball" to the Peruvians

Jon was able to use a lot of our scrap wood to put a "carpetball" together. He was only missing the two side boards and the carpet which are difficult to find in our area. Most carpenters had
shorter lengths but Jon waited until he was able to find what he wanted. The carpet was picked up when we took our trip to Lima. A group brought down the billard balls to use for the game. All-in-all, it took quite awhile for it to come together but is being enjoyed by many.
From visitors, groups, neighbors, and church members, this game is getting much attention.
Each of our children helped sand and assemble the game, while Jon masterminded the construction and dimmensions that he wanted.

The only draw back to the game is that it has been put in a hallway that doesn't provide much space for spectators. At one time there were twenty-one crowded around to see the new game.
