Trujillo Family Camp (Part 1)

We finally made it to camp after Jon decided to take an adventure detour into the sand mountains for some pictures.
We immediately began greeting friends and setting up tents to get settled in and getting to know the campground. Dinner, dividing into two teams (Lanceros vs Escuderos), competitions, and Chapel to start the camp off on the first day.

How great that our church group was actively involved from the start of camp. Many times those from the Mountains are more timid and insociable.

Pictured below is a majority of our church ladies getting involved in the competitions.
They were excited to have the opportunity to compete and get to know other Christians at the camp.

The camp staff made up of many Trujillo church leaders along with the "Reba program" students from the States were introduced and provided great examples throughout the week of servant hearts. They prepared the meals, cleaned the camp, arranged activities and competitions, taught the children's classes, special music, and more.
Chapel services were provided for the children and the adults each day. Thankful for the special speakers. The Theme for the week was "The Armour of God". Many lessons were focused on "Protecting the family in today's generation".
