Tranporting things from Huancayo to Chontabamba

As mentioned in previous posts, the roads during rainy season are dangerous. Some roads wash out completely while others are covered by fallen boulders and mud-slides. It was time to retrieve our items from Huancayo and transport them to our new house. It was an answer to prayer to even find cattle trucks with drivers who would be willing to transport our items that far during this time of the year.

While in Huancayo we were able to visit with friends and once again enjoy the fellowship together. I was thankful that many of them came out to help load our items on the truck.

I was able to reacquaint with our previous dog that was sold to a friend.
We will not miss all the traffic that is now in Huancayo. They are starting to call it "little Lima" as the traffic is compared to the capital city traffic.

The return trip to Chontabamba had its difficulties and delays but I made it safely.
We arrived late at night and were met by friends and neighbors to help us unload the items from the truck into the house. Our landlord ended up renting the same moving truck to load his items to take to Huancayo.
